Original Art with Hidden Symbols
Eugenia Algaze Garcia is an artist who creates art in ink, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, or mixed media in a style developed from over 40 years of observations of the hidden beauty in the world around us.
Her Mindful Art style involves a mix of impressionistic realism, symbolism, abstraction and surrealism as she interprets images and ideas from her mind using “left and right brain” art techniques to
create unique and meaningful Mindful Art.
Eugenia fed her passion and taught herself to express her ideas while providing personal gifts to her family and a handful of friends in her spare time. Her art training includes a couple
of formal college art courses, art workshops, various books, and observations of the world around her throughout the years, while she pursued an Accounting degree, an MBA
and an accounting career until she stayed home to raise her two children. In 2003, Garcia chose to pursue a career in art while balancing a family and started Mindful Art.
Eugenia's art has earned awards and received recognition locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2010 she was honored to receive a National Society of Artists Signature Status award. Original
paintings and signed and numbered limited edition prints of some of her art can be found in private collections around the world. Teaching basic art skills and how to think like an artist began with a class
of homeschoolers in 2008, followed by requests to teach more art classes. Some of her students have won awards for their art in competitions.
Garcia is a member of the Art League of Fort Bend, Lone Star Art Guild, Fort Bend Art Center, National Society of Artists, and the Fulshear/Katy Area Chamber of Commerce.
