Anne Shultis-Gregory was born & raised in the heart of the Catskill Mountains in Roxbury, New York, where there were more cows than people. She often helped her dad hand-letter signs for his side business, which seeded her interest in graphic design.
Country living influenced Anne's love of nature and a knack for creating “something from nothing.” These experiences stemmed her penchant for new product development and design. A rich career in marketing communications & investor relations provided ample creative outlets, but she never sat behind the easel. Anne picked up her paintbrush in late 2013 following the unexpected death of her brother.
Color-drenched oil & watercolor paintings have surfaced, including a series of frog paintings that fulfilled a decades-old promise to her aunt to illustrate the children's book, "Fredrick the Frog." The book was launched in late 2017 and is available on Amazon.com.
Anne cherishes the rusty, the overlooked and the “life’s small things,” and continues to develop her art with an impressionistic, painterly style and a vibrant color palette.
