Introducing the Fort Bend Art Center
The Fort Bend Art Center is a dynamic arts center emporium comprised of art studios, artisan vendors, and creative businesses working in a family-friendly environment. It is sponsored by the Art League of Fort Bend. Fine artwork is on display and for sale in both the Mayde W. Butler Art Gallery and the Gallery Wall showcasing artwork by members of the Art League of Fort Bend. Studio spaces are sub-leased to artists and creative businesses, creating a cohesive working environment for the Arts. ALFB provides opportunities for art patrons and artists alike to view and purchase fine art in our Galleries and during sponsored creative events. Come watch artists at work and participate in arts-related instruction through workshops and classes. The Fort Bend Art Center was launched in November 2017.
The Mayde W. Butler Gallery
Members of the Art League of Fort Bend apply to be juried into the Mayde W. Butler Gallery, where fresh art is changed out on a quarterly basis. All artwork is for sale and is comprised of a wide variety of styles, mediums and approaches to art. Paintings, Sculpture, Photography, Glass, Ceramics and Jewelry as well as other types of art are on display.
Workshops, Art Demos and More
The Fort Bend Art Center houses a Workshop Room that is used as a meeting venue for the Art League of Fort Bend's monthly membership meetings and artist demonstrations. A variety of ongoing art classes and workshops are also held here.
Our Workshop can be made available to creative businesses on a one day or multi-day basis for arts-related creative instruction or community gatherings that bring arts patrons into the building.
