Carolyn McGlown obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Center for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design, Detroit, MI (1983). As a native Detroiter she will tell you that her artistic creativity is - in part - from growing up in this urban life setting.
Carolyn's works include illustrating two children's books; "Stories for Our Children"and "More Stories for Our Children"(1995-96) both authored by clinical psychologist, Dr. Byron Douglas. She has illustrations published in Sunday School Publishing Board Uniform Series quarterly educational materials for children (1999-2001) Nashville, TN. along with a mural of her work "The Town that Time Forgot" which may be found on the historic walls of the old Franklin Post Office (Lobby), Franklin, MI. (1979)
